Privacy Policy
Swaply collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, and no sign-up. We cannot see your wallet, your balances, or your payments, because none of it is ever sent to us.
Information we collect
None. Swaply has no sign-up, asks for no email address or phone number, and contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. There is no account of yours for us to hold, sell, or lose.
Your wallet and your keys
Your recovery phrase is generated on your own device and kept in its secure hardware, readable only on that device and only while it is unlocked. It is never transmitted, never backed up to us, and never leaves your phone.
Because Swaply is self-custody, we cannot recover your wallet for you. If you lose both the device and your recovery phrase, the funds are unreachable โ by you and by us alike.
What a route reveals
Swaply exists to settle a payment in an asset and on a chain that is not the one it left from. Sending BTC so that it arrives as SOL is not a private act at either end: it needs a counterparty willing to take one side and give the other.
To quote and fill a route, the following is necessarily visible to whoever fills it:
- the asset and chain you are sending from, and the amount
- the asset and chain the receiver asked for
- the addresses the payment moves between
That is the mechanism, not a policy choice, and it is true of any swap or bridge you would otherwise have done by hand. What Swaply changes is how many steps you take, not how public a cross-chain settlement is.
We do not attach a name, an email, or a device identifier to a route, because we never have one.
Third-party services
To show balances and rates, Swaply reads public blockchain nodes and price APIs directly from your device. We do not operate these services and we do not receive their responses.
Because those are direct requests from your phone, the providers can see your IP address and the public wallet addresses being queried. That is inherent to reading a public blockchain and is true of every wallet. This website reads prices from CoinGecko in your browser as the page loads; the app additionally reads public RPC nodes for the supported chains. Each provider is governed by its own privacy policy.
Blockchain transactions are public
A payment sent with Swaply is recorded on a public blockchain โ and a cross-chain payment is recorded on two. Amounts, addresses and timestamps are permanently visible to anyone, cannot be deleted, and are outside our control or anyone else's. This is a property of the blockchains themselves, not of Swaply.
Children
Swaply is not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
